Sourcing hierarchy

Every Post-Mortem and Vendor-Move entry is built from public record, in this order of preference:

Earnings calls and SEC filings
Lawsuits and legal filings
Trade press (Supply Chain Dive, FreightWaves, SupplyChainBrain)
Executive interviews and public statements

Every entry visibly states its source type and date at the point of the claim, not buried in a footnote. See Post-Mortems and Vendor Moves for the applied evidence base.

Editorial independence and sponsored content

ChainSignal is vendor-neutral. No vendor pays for placement, favorable treatment, or removal in a Post-Mortem or Vendor-Move entry. If any content on this site is ever sponsored, it is labeled at the item level — never folded quietly into evidence content or footer links.

Every evidence-adjacent detail page ends with a scoped correction entry instead of open public comments — given the stakes of naming real organizations in outcome narratives. Submissions are reviewed editorially before any update is made; nothing is posted publicly without review.
